Xbox 360 'Slim' Includes WiFi, 250GB for $300

Available immediately, Microsoft's new slim-sized Xbox 360--unveiled at its E3 2010 press show this morning--will come with integrated WiFi and a 250GB hard drive.

The company ended the show with a jaw-dropper, trotting out the redesigned, black-framed Xbox 360 just as goers assumed the show was about to wrap up. Microsoft calls it "sleeker, smaller, and whisper quiet." All that, including its high-end 250GB hard drive along with integrated 802.11n wireless.

For $500? $400? Think again: The new slimmed up Xbox 360, which looks a lot like the original Xbox, only diet-sized, will cost just $299.99, same as the current flagship model.

Best of all, it's shipping to stores today, meaning it should be available this week.

Is the drive slot-loading? How hot does is get? Just how quiet is "whisper" quiet? How much does it weigh? Can you use it in close confines without the red-ring-of-death? Does it even still signal errors as such? And how do existing Xbox 360 owners transfer their data over?

We're working on getting you answers to those questions and others now.
