In the question“What is the best team chat software?” Discord is ranked 6th while IRC is ranked 12th. The most important reason people chose Discord is: Discord follows the same type of interface design popularised by Slack, which is extremely clean and attractive, and doesn't clutter the interface with unnecessary chrome and cruft.
